When Private Basketball Training Makes Sense

Private training can be incredibly effective — or a complete waste of time. It depends on how it's used.

One-on-one sessions work best when there's a clear purpose. That might be fixing shooting mechanics, developing a weak hand, or learning how to read defenders instead of predetermining moves.

Private training is most useful for players who feel stuck despite training regularly, need individual feedback they don't get in team settings, or are working toward a specific role or goal.

What private training shouldn't be is random workouts or "extra reps" with no direction. More training doesn't automatically mean better results.

When used properly, private coaching gives players clarity — and clarity is what accelerates improvement.

Level^ Academy offers personalised 1-on-1 training in Brisbane with clear goals and structured sessions. Get in touch to discuss what you need.
